Under the leadership of Pir Ijaz Hashmi, head of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan, a delegation paid visit to the leader of Jamat ud Dawah, Professor Hafiz Saeed, at his house. Both the parties discussed problems faced by the nation and solutions to them.
Shah Awais Norani, central member of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan, Secretary General JUP Qari Zawar Bahadur, Convener of “Tehreek Hurmat e Rasool” Maulana Ameer Hamza, and Qari Yaqoob Sheikh from JuD were also present in this meeting.
The meeting focused on creating unity amongst all segments of Pakistani society for countering the plagues of terrorism, sectarian strife and target-killing in the country.
Prof. Hafiz Saeed cordially invited the JUP leadership to participate in the “Yowm-e-Takbeer” campaign that is going to start from today, 21st May. The JUP delegation warmly accepted the invitation. Prof. Hafiz Saeed said that secularism and profanity are being used to separate Pakistan from its ideology of Islam. Furthermore, he said that no compromise shall be made in upholding the Islamic roots of Pakistan.
