Pakistan Super League (PSL) new franchise Multan Sultans has finally announced their first 9 players in the squad. Shoaib Malik & Pollard from Karachi Kings will now represent Multan Sultans.
Sultan of swing Wasim Akram will be the director of cricket operations while Australian Tom Moody will be the head coach. The nine players which have been finalized by the franchise are:

- Keiron Pollard (West Indian)
- Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka)
- Sohail Tanvir
- Mohammad Irfan
- Junaid Khan
- Irfan Khan
- Kashif Bhatti
- Sohaib Maqsood

There are rumors on social media that former Pakistani captain Shoaib Malik will be the captain of Multan Sultans, though no official statement have been made.
PSL 2018 the third season will consist of 30 matches which will be played among 6 teams of PSL Islamabad United, Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi, & Quetta Gladiators.
