Karachi : Pakistan’s notable analyst, poet and writer Prof Afaq Ahmed Siddiqui died here in Karachi on 17th June 2012. After lengthened infirmity, he was 86. “He will be buried in Sakhi Hassan cemetery in the city,” his folks expounded.
He was born 1928 in a place of a law officer in India. He migrated to Pakistan after the separation and was the only one from family to come Pakistan.
Prof Siddiqui wrote forty books, eighteen of which are in Sindhi. He also interpreted “Shah Jo Rasalao”. His work was highly appreciated all over Sindh.
He got more than sixty World awards. Among the varied awards he had gotten, one is the Pride of Performance and the other one is Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai Excellence Award, which is the most important award of Sindh.
