Nowadays the only variety of chicken available in the market is Broiler Chicken but do you know this is not good for our health? This is what a new research indicates though many are questioning its reliability.
A study was conducted on broiler chickens in an Indian chicken farm where it was found that many bacteria found in these chickens were able to survive even after antibiotics.
The research was published in scientific journal ‘Environmental Health Perspective’. 83% of germs in the chickens were ‘super germs’ capable of resisting antibiotics. If such bacteria and germs affects human the treatment will be very difficult as antibiotics will not work on them.
The research was criticized because it was based on one Indian poultry farm. The sample size was small and being a developing country the facilities are not up to the standard which was reflected in the results.
