Islamabad: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees have decided to stage nationwide protest for an unidentified period against worsening conditions of institution from 18 November. Employees are against new agreement worth 700 million dollar made with US Company for chemicals, spare parts and other things. President Society of Aircraft Engineers Shaukat Jamshed told that we would stage nationwide protest from 18 November for an unidentified period against PIA administration decision, adding that we have been forced to protest because PIA per month deficit has been increased to 2billion from 1 billion.
He said that all unions of PIA employees including Air league, Pakistan Airlines, Pilot Association, Unity Union, Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Employees and CBA are united to protest against the worsening condition of PIA.
However, Jamshed clarified here more than 20 thousand employees while protesting would not jam PIA machinery, adding that they would also arrange sit-in. He cautioned that if their demands would not fulfill then employees would start second round of protest.
