PIA Cancelled 250 Flights During Last Three Weeks

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) canceled 257 flights including Hajj and other scheduled flights in last three weeks due to unknown reasons.  According to a private channel 35 flights were cancelled due to lack of passengers while 31 Hajj flights were cancelled.

At present PIA authorities have grounded 747 Boeing planes due to lack of engines. Government of Pakistan has taken Boeing planes from Greece for Hajj flights.

According to sources there are 39 planes in PIA fleet from which eight are already grounded by authorities due to lack of funds for purchasing new parts.
