LAHORE: Despite of preventive measures two dengue patients were died in Lahore on Wednesday. The number of deaths after two new deaths has increased to 307 in Punjab. On the other hand family physicians program has been launched. According to report Hafeez-u-Rehman 17 years old and Waseem Sham 13 years old died in Mayo Hospital. The number of dengue patients has been increased to 19,000 in Punjab.
On the other hand a meeting of dengue control committee was held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, during the meeting Shahbaz Sharif said that dengue training is important for family physicians ,adding that training has been started in teaching hospitals from today.
Shehbaz Sharif said that consultants are visiting and giving medical treatment to patients on constant bases in trusts and private hospitals, cleanliness is important in hospitals and a comprehensive system has been formatted in this matter, he added.
Secretaries of health and foods also briefed the participants of meeting regarding the measures taken against the dengue epidemic in the province.
