Following its introduction in other significant cities across the country, the Directorate General Immigration and Passports (DGIP) has finally took decision to make the online passport fee service available to Karachi citizens.
The facility, which is presently accessible to residents of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, is apparently going to be offered to Karachi residents starting next month.
Citizens will receive notification via email and short messaging service (SMS) after paying the fee, which they must provide at the passport office.
It is important to note that once the passport-issuing process starts, the money is no longer refundable and transferable.
The launch of this app was announced by Rana Sanaullah, the Interior Minister, in July.
He stated in a tweet that the Interior Ministry created this software to help the public and digitize government payments.
Both the Apple Store and the Play Store offer the ability to download the software.
