Islamabad: Pakistan Passport Office has launched Interactive Voice Response (IVR) helpline number. According to the reports, Federal Minister of Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has inaugurated IVR based helpline service and passport collection fee through MobiCash at NADRA head office in Islamabad. Initially, passport collection fee through MobiCash will be available on 4200 centers of MobiCash in Rawalpindi and Islamabad; however it will be further expanded till March 2016. The inauguration ceremony was held on 28th January 2016, in the evening at 12:00. Recently, National Bank of Pakistan has also announced to receive passport/visa fees in different cities.
Through this newly launched IVR helpline service, all the applicants would be able to avail different services of Passport Office. These services includes information regarding documents for new passport, fees of different kinds of passports, exact locations of different passport offices around the country and many other general questions regarding Pakistani passport. At the beginning of this service, users would be able get information in 5 languages including English, Urdu, Pushto, Sindhi and Saraiki, however it will be further expanded soon.

Passport collection fee service is being launched with the collaboration of National Bank of Pakistan, through which applicants can submit their fees on MobiCash centers. Passport collection fee service will be also started soon through U Paisa and Easy Paisa.
