Pakistan has announced that it would abolish the Covid-19 PCR test requirement for vaccinated travellers from 24th February.
Also travellers to Dubai flying from few countries; Pakistan no longer need rapid Covid PCR test from 22nd February, 2022 on airport.
Recently, the authorities sent an updated circular to the travel agents and airlines in which there was no specific requirement mentioned for the rapid PCR test which is carrying out on departure Airports of four countries; Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka within six hours of flight.
The circular which is effective from 22nd February does not mention any requirement for rapid PCR test. Moreover, the passenger from four countries must have a negative result of PCR test taken within 48 hours before travelling. They will also follow the guidelines of Dubai Airport which mention another PCR test on arrival.
Passengers are required to self-quarantine till they get their negative results.
FlyDubai which is the local Airline, has mentioned in their website that passengers from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are exempted from taking the rapid PCR test from departure Airports travelling to Dubai.
While, still the Emirates Airline website has not updated the information about requirements of rapid test.
Meanwhile, Pakistani Airlines and travel agents have confirmed receiving the updated circular.
