Pakistan Cricketers Excels In County Cricket

Umar Gul shines again to restrict Kent for 144/8 as Sussex won by 15 runs at Canterbury in South Group of Friends Life t20 according to information received here.

Kent won the toss and decided to field first, England ousted T20 wikcet-keeper Matt prior scored 89 of 59 balls to take Sussex to 159/6 in allotted twenty overs. Pakistan left armer Wahab Riaz bagged 3/22 for Kent. In reply Kent closed their 20 overs on 144-8 as Pakistan’s Umar Gul who grabbed three wickets in last match against Glamorgan again picked up three wickets and also ran out Kent’s Azhar Mahmood.

In other South Group match at The Oval England fast bowler Chris Tremlett took 4-16 to bowl Surrey to victory against his former county Hampshire who were all out for 113.

Home team Surrey scored 151/5 in twenty overs. In reply Hampshire lost its first four wickets for nine runs and never recovered.  Shahid Afridi who came as opener top scored for Hampshire as he hit four fours and a six in his 36 runs but it was not enough for Hants.

Mean while in North Group match Worcestershire defeated Warwickshire at New Road. Worcestershire scored 112/7 in its twenty overs.  Warwickshire needed 12 from the last over but Pakistan’s Saeed Ajmal spun Worcestershire to victory by six runs, finishing with figures of 1-19 from his four overs.

In other North Group match, another Pakistan player Abdul Razzaq took 3-12 for Leicestershire to bowled out Derbyshire to a total of 150 at Grace Road.

In reply Leicestershire got over the winning line with 1 ball to spare.
