Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has recalled its male cadet from Australian Defence Force Academy as he was caught in secretly filming his female colleague when she was in the shower.
Obaid Fayyaz, 21, is understood to be a high-achieving engineering cadet who was selected by the PAF for the training in Australia.
The Australian police arrested 21-year-old cadet at about midnight on Thursday after a female cadet found the phone while showering in her accommodation block at the Canberra academy. Fayyaz used a mobile phone for filming which was hidden in an overhead vent.
Fayyaz was granted bail by the Australian Capital Territory Magistrates Court on Aug 27,
Australian Police seized a mobile phone, laptop computer and a memory stick from Mr Fayyaz’s room and he spent the night in jail ahead of his court appearance.
Fayyaz is now undergoing an investigation by the Australian authorities. The next hearing in his case will take place on 9th September.
In a statement issued by the air headquarters, the PAF spokesman said: “Cadet Obaid Fayyaz has been withdrawn from the Australian Defence Force Academy on disciplinary grounds.
In April two military cadets were charged with broadcasting a sexual encounter with another female cadet over Skype.
