Lahore: The Oxford University Press (OUP) mobile bookshop, which is believed to be more popular in remote areas than in major cities, finally returns back to the city after traveling over 8, 000 km all over Punjab for about last eight months.
Habib Salim, who is the in charge of the mobile bookshop project termed it as a huge success in backward areas as compare to the large cities saying, “the idea of a bookstore-on-wheels is not new to those who live in big cities,” he said. “People also have a variety of options to buy books.”
It is to mention here that since October 2011, Salim and his four-member team, which includes two assistants, a helper and a driver, have made stops at more than 40 cities and towns in the largest in size province of the country.
