Olive oil can help you to fight brain cancer, reveals a new research by University of Edinburgh. It claimed that oleic acid in Olive oil is very helpful in fighting cancer cells.
This oily component stimulates production of cell molecules which are known for their anti cancer properties. It is also believed that these molecules prevent the diseases of cancer.
“While we cannot yet say that olive oil in the diet helps prevent brain cancer, our findings do suggest that oleic acid can support the production of tumour-suppressing molecules’ said Dr Gracjan Michlewski who was the lead researcher of the study.
The research was conducted on human cell extracts and living cells in the university lab. Later the study was published in famous science journal ‘Journal of Molecular Biology’.
This study is a milestone in finding natural cure of cancer which each year kills 8.8 million people around the world.
