No tax will be charged on mobile users who use or load Rs. 500 or less balance in a month, this is what Attorney General of Pakistan assured the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
During the proceedings of case regarding tax charges on mobile users the attorney general requested for additional time to come up with the plan for charging tax on users of cellular networks.
He clarified in the court that tax policy is being made only for those who charge balance more than Rs. 500 in a month, whether through easy load or mobile cards. It is to relief the poor and common man regarding whom Chief Justice Saqib Nisar raised voice.

• 12.5% withholding tax
• 12.5% service charges

Previously during the proceedings Chief Justice remarked that people are being looted, he questioned how can a vendor be charged tax?
Chief Justice suspended the taxes on all prepaid users during the suo motu notice which became a relief for common users but it was also a loss for government revenue.
