Islamabad: The Chief Election Commissioner Fakharuddin G. Ibrahim said that there is no any constitutional value of the action against the politicians regarding the Asghar Khan case. He further added that the Commission has not received any legal notice of investigations against the politicians in this case.
Talking to the media the Chief Election Commissioner informed that The Commission can start the investigation in the dual nationality case of Rehman Malik after the assurance of reference from the Chairman Senate.
He also informed media that he requested the Chief Justice about the postings of District Returning Officers in the coming elections. The Chief Justice promised him to consider his request in accordance to the postings of the officers, he added. He said that the decision took by the Chief Justice in Asghar Khan Case was adequate in the eyes of Constitution.
