New ICC T20 Rankings: Pakistan Down To 5th After Losing To Sri Lanka

pakistan on number 5Karachi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the all new Twenty20 list of top teams, bowlers and batsmen. According to the latest list released Friday morning, Pakistan has again gone down to number Five with 116 ratings after their disappointing defeat in the crunch Semi Final contest against Sri Lanka on Thursday. Sri Lanka as before has managed to maintain its top position in the list with ratings of 133.

However, Pakistan spin maestro Saeed Ajmal has maintained his top position in the bowlers list with 784 rating points while Kiwi keeper batsman Brendon Mc’Cullum has topped the batsman list followed by Shane Watson, top performer in the on-going ICC T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.

The only aspect that shocks the most is the placement of ousted Indian team at the second spot of the top ten team list. It might because of its victory against previously third ranked Pakistan and South Africa in the Super Eight matches.

In all rounder’s rankings, Aussie Shane Watson is at the top while Mohammad Hafeez and Shahid Afridi grabbed the second and third spot, respectively.
