London: Muslim cleric of the British Armed Forces has been awarded the highest honor, ‘Order of The British Empire’. A report released by the British Ministry of Defence stated that Imam Asim Hafiz who is a religious advisor in ‘The Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs’ has been awarded by this honor for providing religious guidance to the Muslim soldiers.
Sources informed that Imam Asim Hafiz joined the British Army in 2005 and his work was to provide religious and cultural guidance to the soldiers. Later on in 2011 and 2012 his efforts in building peace and solving the disputes in Afghanistan were much appreciated on national level.

Imam Asim said that he is thankful to the British government for making him a part of the British armed forces and granting with such an honor. He also said that the bond between the Muslim communities and British armed forces would get strengthen in the coming days and that understanding each other and respecting every religion is the only way through which we can establish peace and stability all over the world.
