Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has demanded road map to bring the country out of crises, adding that only government cannot face the current challenges.
Addressing a press conference at Punjab House on Friday Nawaz Sharif said that all stake holders have to prepare a joint agenda for the betterment of the country. He demanded constitutional amendment to get rid of foreign loans and approval of APC recommendations from parliament.
He further demanded that government should inform the masses about the secret agreements with United States, adding that military leadership has not briefed APC about any expected aggression of US forces.
Nawaz informing media about his stance in APC, adding that the government is damaging the democracy because of its priorities as Musharraf damaged Army image in past.
Nawaz said that he informed the Premier about the problems of masses, adding that the burden of foreign loans have increased to 60 billion dollars. He said that we have to find out the answers of some questions that why we are being isolated at international level? Why we are being seen with suspicion eyes?
We would have never faced such challenges if the government implemented the parliamentary resolution. Nation was demanding for implementation on the parliament recommendations but government did not acted as per desire of the nation, he added.
Nawaz said that the cooperation with US has caused a great loss of 69 billion dollars excluding a huge loss of lives, adding that country is burning in the fire of terror and we are being blamed. We are being threatened; the sovereignty of the country is being violated as well.
He said that non implementation of court orders has close relation with national security.
He said that it was naive to think that there was no truth to accusations being leveled against Pakistan.
Speaking on Pakistan’s economic dependence Sharif said this was enslaving the country to foreign powers.
He said that the internal weaknesses create troubles at foreign level and it also hurts the national pride.
He said such type of laws should be formulated which bound government not to beg foreign aid, adding that resolution passes in APC should quickly be implemented.
He said that I had give the suggestion of Charter of Pakistan in the APC, adding that no single party or single person could steer the country out of crises, adding that combine efforts are needed.
He said that every body set his reservations aside, get together and play his role to get the country out of crises, adding that he is ready to play a role to get the country out of crises.
He said that it is expected that the government would immediately from the committee of parliament for the implementation of the APC resolution.
He said that we have concerns over the behavior of government, adding that where the security of country is at stake we should set aside our reservations.
He said that we are facing present situation due to telling lies to nation, adding that if everybody admits his mistakes than the nation is ready to forgive these mistakes.
He said that the protection of national security is first among all other matters, adding that the debate over the resolution should be in the parliament and the parliament should give final decision over the resolution.
He said that an over all review regarding polices is demanded in the resolution and the formulation of new policy is the job of parliament, adding that he is not satisfied with the performance of Abbotabad Commission.
Replying a question, he said that at the occasion of APC no hints were given regarding the US aggression in the briefing and even it was not discussed.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq, Senator Mushahidullha Khan, Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan and other leaders of the party were also present on the occasion. (SANA)
