Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will raise its voice against the price hike in electricity tariff, inflation, poverty and unemployment. This was announced by JI Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman in a statement issued here on Tuesday. In a statement, Hafiz Naeem said that the inflation, poverty and unemployment have made the life of the common men miserable.
He stated: on one hand; inflation, poverty and unemployment have increased the woes of the masses while, on the other hand, the deteriorated law and order situation and targeted killing incidents in Karachi have put the common men in tremendous mental agony.
Hafiz Naeem further said those who made tall claims before the elections have completely failed to ensure relief to the masses and the plights of the people have been increased by every passing day.
“Jamaat-e-Islami is always raises its voice on civic issues and its resolution and will continue to do the same in the future”, he added.
He further said that the JI through public protests will force the government to change its priorities and ensure provision of speedy relief to the masses from inflation, unemployment, load-shedding, over-billing and electricity price hike.
