After five days blockage of six Pakistani Entertainment channels, cable Operators have opened not only all these six Pakistani channels but also some Indian channels. According to details, Hum TV, Geo TV, ARY Digital, KTN Entertainment, TVOne and Express Entertainment were blocked by cable operators of some cities. Cable Operators claimed that they are transferring these channels to Digital System. On other side, sources told AwamiWeb that Cable Operators are blackmailing Entertainment Channel and want they wanted to reopen Indian Channel.
Today, all six channels have been restored on their previous positions. Cable operators have also reopened few Indian Entertainment channels but with self-made names. Almost 2-33 Indian channels are reopened in Karachi and Cable operators hide Logo of channels, a citizen of Karachi told. They are using another logo with name Home Entertainment, he added. Earlier Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) also condemned stoppage of Pakistan Entertainment Channels.
Now this “Home Entertainment” channel is showing Indian Dramas without PEMRA Permission. Now this Cable Operators Mafia is showing Private Ads on these channels. Cable Operators say that public is demanding reopening of Star Plus, Sony TV, Star One and other Indian channels. On other Hand, PEMRA has clear stance that Indian Government blocked Pakistani Channels and that’s why Pakistan blocked Indian Channels in response.

According to me not only indian channels should be banned but also indian content on pakistani tv channels like Geo, Ary, Hum Tv, Ravi, Kohinoor, Apna, Express entertainment, Urdu 1 and other channels should also be stopped. Why pakistani channels demanding indian channels to be banned when they are promoting indian content on their on channels. Double standands and for making money. Shame on Pakistaniu channels for their concern.
