IG Sindh Straight Joint Patrolling By Police, Rangers

KARACHI: Inspector General Sindh Police, Wajid Ali Durrani, has issued a directive to the Additional IG Karachi to make a tactic with Rangers for joint patrolling in areas most hit by street crimes.

According to a spokesman of the IGP’s office here on Saturday, the IGP has further asked the Additional IG Karachi to hold meetings with the legislature of the city’s business community, including KCCI, SITE Association and other bodies, on regular basis.

Referring to street crimes in commercial areas, the IGP also directed for joint patrolling, picketing and snap checking, besides search and siege operations, to flush out criminal elements without any discrimination.

He also sought detailed reports about the performance of police stations to check their activities to curb crime.
