We see foodpanda riders everywhere, but few of us sympathize with their plight. Heal Aid Foundation recently joined hands with foodpanda to extend a helping hand to the most impoverished of their riders.
The Heal Aid Foundation donated 50 White Cards to a group of foodpanda delivery riders. This effort doesn’t just give the hardworking riders a pat on the back but also shows how significant their contributions are.
What Does the Heal Aid Foundation’s ‘White Card’ Offer?
The white card project provides financial support to deserving individuals discreetly while preserving their dignity. Qualified individuals receive a gift card, which empowers them to fulfill their essential requirements without losing their self-respect.
Each White Card recipient pays a small fee of Rs. 100, which signifies that the help is something they’ve earned; it is not just a gift.
The eligibility criteria consider young riders who work while continuing their studies and older riders, aged 50 and above, who are the primary earners for their families.
This a convenient and easy way of helping, setting it apart from usual approaches like giving out ration bags or giving money directly.
Why Must We Be Kind and Considerate to Delivery Drivers?
Being kind and considerate to food delivery drivers means decency and recognizing their challenging circumstances. These drivers brave harsh weather conditions like scorching heat and high humidity to ensure timely deliveries.
Traffic congestion adds to their challenges as they navigate crowded streets to bring meals to your doorstep. The drivers often work long hours, and navigating poorly maintained roads makes their jobs even more demanding.
We should acknowledge their hard work and dedication by showing them kindness, patience, and appreciation. Treating them respectfully can make their difficult job more manageable and uplifting. Small acts of kindness can go a long way in brightening their day and motivating them to continue providing their essential service despite the adversities they encounter.
