Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf gained immense popularity during the build up to the 2013 elections and immerged as one of the most popular political parties of the nation. Although they performed excellently for a new party, they have been losing popularity since then and matters have been worsened by intra party conflicts and the desertion of members. Another blow was added recently when another member Haji Naeem Ud din Waraich announced that he would be leaving PTI to join PML-Q.
Haji Ch.Naeem Ud Din Waraich was PTIs ticket holder from NA-186 constituency of Bahawalpur. He made the announcement in a meeting with PML-Q senior party leader and former deputy Prime Minister Ch. Pervaiz Elahi. Other notable personalities like MNA Tariq Basheer were also present at the occasion.
Mr. Waraich was a popular personality in his area and has thousands of supporters which would follow him to the support of PML-Q. He stated his admirance of Ch Shujaat Hussain and his services for the party and that he was pleased with the public friendly policies of the PML-Q.
Ch Pervaiz Elahi welcomed him and revealed his expectations that more people would be joining PML-Q as the local body elections drew closer because their party was the one who truly represented the public and would be able to solve their problems.
