People usually think that bed sheets are clean and very rarely wash them but do you know it is one of the dirtiest places in your house?
This was revealed in a new research which was carried out by a team at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. They collected information about how frequently people washed their bed sheets. They were surprised to know that 1 out of 10 didn’t bother to wash it more than once a week.
This means that more than 5 million people in UK wash their bed sheets only once a month while it is recommended that at least we should wash it once a week.
Pillows are even dirtier than bed sheets because they get even less attention. Our dead skin, our oil from skin and the dirt from the environment all are collected on pillow which we use daily to sleep.
