In USA a new campaign demanding #FreeKarachi is launched raising questions that who is behind this anti-Pakistan campaign. Many believed that USA maybe involved in this campaign but US State department assured that US supports Pakistan’s territorial integrity.
Press Release from the group declared that MQM-London’s Nadeem Nusrat is the spokesperson of the group. This indicates that the campaign is being led by MQM-London and Altaf Hussain.

Recently in this week cabs were spotted in Washington DC WITH ‘Free Karachi’ signs, some billboards were also advertised with the same hash tag. Washington Post also distributed wrap or supplement with their newspaper.
Previously Free Balochistan campaign was run in Geneva, London and USA calling for separation of Pakistan’s largest province. It is believed that the same agency which was involved in previous campaign is leading this campaign.

#FreeKarachi campaign kicks off in US papers?
After #FreeBalochistan, this seems to be the logical follow up: First the Baloch, and now the Mohajirs, are projected as suppressed.
Whoever is doing this, has a plan.
Sadly, the same can’t be said about the state of Pakistan. pic.twitter.com/JgGvXktzm5

MQM-USA also tweeted pictures form the campaign indicating their support for the campaign.
Yes….Let’s #FreeKarachi from terrorists & political parties responsible for terrorism like MQM! For all practical purposes you should be banned internationally & Altaf Hussain who is responsible for more killings in KHI than Taliban should be thrown in Jail….forever https://t.co/HnLHHLlnsO

Ali Zaidi, member of PTI reacted on this by calling for a ban on MQM and said that Altaf Hussain should be arrested because he is responsible for killings in Karachi.
Indian media widely reported this campaign to malign Pakistan such as Times of India claiming that there is an anti-Pakistan sentiment in Karachi. But the reality is such campaigns were not supported within Pakistan, the recent Free Karachi campaign was initiated and supported by only a minority which is settled in western world.
