Rawalpindi: Attacks on tribal belt against the militants by North Waziristan Agency (NWA) is a safe and sound measure to combat terrorism in the country. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAvs) strikes by the United States in the form of “drone strikes” are effective to eliminating the menace.
These views were expressed by the PLM-N former MPA Zia Ullah Shah. He stated that the drone strikes had not claimed any of the civilian lives; instead the terrorists were the ultimate target. And they were killed accordingly.
The PML-N leader said that we as a nation shall determine the ultimate goal. Fighting against the terrorist elements, exploiting the country’s peace is vanished. US are waging war against terrorism. Enemies of the two States are same, the Taliban. The drone attacks, carried out by UAvs are highly useful.
Zia Ullah Shah spoke these words, talking to the media men at the concluding session of a two day workshop. The event was organized by United Press International (UPI) at one of the local hotels in the metropolitan city. The former leader opined that the country lacks competent skills and hi-technology to fight off the militants. Hence, we shall be thankful to US for helping Pakistan.
