Karachi: One of the most imminent and living legend in the cricket commentary world, Tony Grieg has been diagnosed with lung cancer. It is very sad to know that he is now the third person belonging from cricket to be diagnosed with cancer this year.
Earlier, Yuvraj Singh and Martin Crowe were hit by the fatal Cancer disease. It is to mention here that Lung cancer’s patient is hardly saved if he is in 2nd or 3rd stage of the disease.
Tony is considered as one of the best commentator of cricket. He will wait and evaluate a detailed diagnosis before deciding on treatment. “I have had a few scrapes in my life and this is another one,” Greig told English newspaper.
Greig, 66, though shows valor and express to fight the disease with the support of his wife saying, “(His wife) Vivian and I are going to put the boxing gloves on and fight this like we’ve never fought anything before.”
He first became aware of the problem during Australia’s one-day series against Pakistan in Dubai in August and September, on which he was commentating.
