Shahid Afridi Will Not Play 2nd T20 Exhibiton Match In Karachi

shahid afridi going for hajjKarachi: Pakistan’s super cricket star Shahid Afridi will miss out the second Twenty20 Exhibition match to be played tomorrow at National Stadium against International World Eleven lead by Sanath Jayasuria. The crowd stunner will not be playing the second match as he has to leave for Hajj tomorrow, sources told.

According to sources, the captain of Pakistan Stars XI will miss the second unofficial T20 match against International XI scheduled to be played on Sunday, as he is scheduled to leave for Saudi Arabia on Sunday morning to perform Hajj.

It is pertinent to mention here that this is not the first time Afridi is giving preference to religious obligations over his profession. In December 2006, Afridi missed the final of Pakistan’s domestic Twenty20 cup for Karachi Dolphins which is certainly an exemplary act.
