KARACHI: Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in Pakistan with religious zeal and fervor. On the occasion, large religious congregations have been held in large Eid grounds where the nation performed Namaz-e-Eid and prayed for the prosperity, development and peace of the country. The Nation listened to the sermon of Eid-ul-Fitr and after Namaz met and embraced one another with zeal and fervor.
The largest congregation was held in Faisal mosque, Islamabad whereas tight security arrangements have been made on this special day of the Muslims. The religious clerics or Ulemas emphasized in their sermons about helping and remembering the poor, orphans on Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and the President Mamnoon Hussain have given special congratulation on Eid-ul-Fitr to the nation. The premier messaged to the nation that Eid-ul-Fitr is a thanksgiving day to Almighty Allah. He added that the nation should burry the hatchets and promote brotherly love.
Nawaz Sharif said that we should remember those fighting for Pakistan on this special occasion. He added that we should remember the innocent martyred children of Peshawar incident and IDPs of FATA.
