EHang 184 is world’s first passenger drone which is developed by Chinese firm Ehang and is being test in Nevada, United States (US) after a deal with Nevada Institute for Autonomous Systems (NIAS).
[junkie-alert style=”green”] Ehang-184 is designed for short distances, it can carry passengers to 10 miles with a speed of 65 miles/hour. The name “184” comes from the features of the drones which carry 1 passenger with its 4 arms and 8 propellers. [/junkie-alert]
The passenger drone will be connected with a Smartphone, the passenger just has to sit in the drone and select the destination.
The drone is under development from 2.5 years and after successful testing and changes the commercial version may be available within a year.
It comes with Fail Save System which evaluates the components malfunction, damage and lands if it’s necessary to ensure the safety of passenger.
EHang will launch the drone for commercial use in China first and then it will be launched in USA.
