Controlling the traffic of densely populated Lahore with its narrow roads and heavy traffic was not an easy job, but now a new project is launched to implement the traffic laws.
The project for automatic e-ticket challans have been approved for the city of Lahore, now traffic police will be replaced by CCTV cameras.
[junkie-alert style=”green”] Now CCTV cameras will monitor the traffic and will automatically generate challans on violations, which will be sent to the violators’ official residence. [/junkie-alert]
Initially the CCTV cameras will be installed at major traffic signals. When anyone will violate the traffic law the authorities will be alerted, on approval an automatic challan will be generated with the photos, which will be sent to the violator of traffic law.
It is hoped that this will end the corruption which is prevalent among traffic wardens who usually leave the violator after taking bribe, which is not only a violation of law but is also a loss of revenue for traffic police.
