
Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has officially announced an increase in the minimum salary for its employees in response to a persistent demand for daily pay increase.
The official announcement made by Rana Imtiaz Ahmad, Drawing and Disbursing Officer for the Education Ministry, states that the minimum salary for daily wager workers has been raised to Rs. 25,000 per month.
According to the notification, FDE’s request for Rs. 111 million in funding to increase the daily wagers’ pay to Rs. 25,000 per month has been taken into account.
The notification also stated that it has been authorized to re-appropriate the necessary funds from the Ministry’s available resources for the current fiscal year 2022–2023.
The Ministry then distributed Rs.15 million to various universities and schools as part of the FDE using the remaining funds from the Q2 FY 2022–23 release.
The remainder will be distributed to the colleges and universities in Q3 of FY 2022–23.
