Eat These Foods To Increase Red Blood Cells

RBCsIf you want to become healthier and want to increase the blood count in your body then the most important thing you should do is to change your diet.

Add iron rich food which will help in increasing the Red Blood Cells (RBCs). Foods which are rich source of iron include green leafy vegetables, beans, egg yolks & lentils (daal).

The second most important mineral for increasing RBCs is Copper, which also helps blood cells to absorb iron. Copper rich foods include liver, beans, cherries and nuts.

Consumption of foods rich in folic acid is also necessary because it helps in producing red blood cells and deficiency results in anemia. Peas, bread and nuts are great sources of folic acid.

Vitamin A helps to develop RBCs in bone marrow. To fulfill the daily requirement of vitamin a eat sweet potatoes, carrots, watermelon, apricots and grapefruit.
