An internal notification of ERRA (Earthquake Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Authority) is circulating on social media in which it is feared that an earthquake is expected before this year end.
In the notification Chairman of ERRA is directing to prepare for the earthquake. But it seems that the decision of ‘SOPs on the subject may be prepared immediately’ on priority basis was done without any scientific reason.
There is no technology through which an earthquake can be predicted, the most sophisticated technology works only 15 minutes before an earthquake which raises questions on the authenticity of the notification and the fear of the earthquake.

It is believed that the origin of the false prediction was started by an Indian man Babu Kalayil who wrote a letter to Indian Prime Minister claiming that an Earthquake and Tsunami will hit Asian countries which will then proceed to Middle East.
Many people are raising questions that why government departments in Pakistan took the threat as real though there was no evidence for the alert?
