Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) Central Sectary General and senior leader Dr. Arif Alvi and 6 other workers have been arrested by the police at Fawara Chowk near the Governor House during the pro-judiciary rally in Karachi. The clash between the police and the worker took place when the PTI workers were trying to reach the Red Zone area.
Police used water canon to disperse the workers. According to the media reports along with Dr. Alvi some other senior officials of PTI Sindh are also detained by the Police. The police said that the workers of PTI are arrested because they breached line.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan has condemned the police act and termed it as violent. He has warned the Government with PTI long march to the President House if the Government maintained the anti-PTI stance.
