Karachi: A protest is being going on by Paramedical staff and nurses under Professional Nursing Association over the wages and allowances issues, outside the Press club here on Wednesday (28th March). The demonstrators are trying to head towards Governor House during the process.
The police are using canon water, shelling and beating the aggressive crowd with sticks to disperse them from heading towards the Governor House. Police and law enforcement administration holds the stance that, “No one has the right to march on the red zone area and we will not let anyone to make such attempt. We will take any step to prevent a crowd demonstrating at Governor House.”
Meanwhile, the police have arrested few nurses and the paramedical staff on breaching the limitations of law and there is no news of negotiations between the administration and protesters till now.
On the other hand, the traffic has been badly affected due to the protest on the road heading towards Zainab market, press club and Governor House.
