ISLAMABAD: After denying the presence of Daish in Pakistan for many months, the federal government has at last revealed that Daish has been included in 61 banned outfits. The Federal Minister of State for Interior, Balighur Rehman informed Senate that Al-Dolat Ul Islamia thatis known as Daish was included in the list of banned outfits on July 15 this year.
It is pertinent to mention here that it is the only addition in the list of banned outfits on behalf of the federal government during two and a half years. He told that the names of Al-Khair Trust and Al-Rashid Trust are included in the list after the resolution of UN’s Security Council whereas Jamat Ud Dawah was included in the list in 2005.
According to the list presented in Senate, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Sipah Muhammad Pakistan were banned on Auguts 14, 2001 whereas Jaish-e-Muhammad, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Islami, Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi were added to the list of banned outfits on January 14, 2002.
Tehreek-e-Jafaria Pakistan was also banned on January 28, 220 whereas Al-Qaeda was added to the list on March 17, 2003.
