A new research has found that eating chocolate, biscuits and bread during cancer helps the tumours to grow.
[junkie-alert style=”green”] They said that biscuits, breads and chocolates all contain palm oil which stimulates the special type of protein which helps tumours to grow and spread to whole body. The protein CD36 is also stimulated by dietary fats used in these products. [/junkie-alert]
The stimulation of cancer tumours was tested on mice and it was observed that when the protein was not stimulated the cancer growth was halted in most cases, while on stimulation the tumours and cancer spread to other areas.
They also injected mice with antibodies to block the protein and now they are preparing antibodies for humans which will stop the protein CD36, which will help reducing the chances of cancer spreading to other parts of the body.
The research needs more time and resources but if they succeed they can save thousands of life each year.
