To reduce pollution and make the country a better place to live Chinese government is planning to build world’s first Forest City. The plan was recently revealed by the government of China.
Liuzhou Forest City will be designed by Italian architecture firm Stefano Boeri Architetti. The green city will be spread over 342 acre and will have 70 green buildings including schools, offices, hospitals, hotels, and homes.
The city will be populated by 30,000 people, 40,000 trees and 1 million plants making it the most green and beautiful city in the world.
Liuzhou Forest City will absorb 10,000 tons of carbon dioxide and will produce 900 tons of oxygen each year. It will also decrease the temperature and will provide environment for natural habitat of birds and other animals.
The firm has successfully built vertical forest towers in Milan, Italy which become symbol of green life. The 110 meter and 76 meter towers are covered with 2000 plants and 900 trees.
