The experts from Islamabad will test the patients, if the cases were found positive then this will be the first incident of Chikungunya in Pakistan.
Chikungunya is a viral disease which is spread by infected mosquitoes and causes high fever with severe joint pains. Its symptoms are similar to dengue such as headache, muscle pain, nausea and rash.
There is no cure or treatment for the virus, the treatment is focused on symptoms of the disease. Patients usually recover in 2 weeks time but in some cases it may take months to end the severe joint pain.
