FAISALABAD: Bloody clash between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz has claimed 2 lives whereas 16 others have been injured. Both the parties used stones and rods during the clash and then, both the parties started firing at each other. The leader of Pakistan Tehreek-k-e-Insaf, Aijaz Chauhadry has confirmed that PTI’s two workers have been killed during the clash. 16 others have been injured in the clash whereas various others have been arrested by the police.
According to details, in spite of the announcement of closing Faisalabad forcibly by Imran Khan, the business activities started as usual early in the morning. People were seen going to their offices and children were seen going to their schools. Then, PTI’ workers came into action and torched tyres on roads and blocked traffic whereas they made the schools close.
According to sources, the chain of protests and sit-ins by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf widened to 9 venues including Millat Chowk, Kaleemullah Shaheed Chowk, Abdullahpur Chowk, Novelty pull and Samundari road. In the meantime, the workers of Pakistan Muslim League (N) took out to the streets and started chanting slogans against PTI and then, the clash between PTI and Muslim League N took place.
According to sources, both the parties firstly threw eggs and tomatoes to each other and then the clash turned into blood clash when both the parties started firing at each other. 2 workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were killed with the bullets whereas 16 others from both the sides were injured. Police reached at the venues to control the situation and arrested various workers of both the parties.
