Australia beats Pakistan by 4 wickets to clinch the series by 2-1 at Sharjah. Michael Hussey was star of the day, who scored a fabulous half century that took Australian team to the victory. Although the defensive approach of middle order raised the required run rate due to quick wickets but the aggressive batting of Michal Hussey took the game away from Pakistan.
Pakistan was off to a great start with the opening partnership of 129 runs but the middle order failed and the total was restricted to 244 at the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. Off spinner Saeed Ajmal took 3 early wickets and brought Pakistan back in the game but the rest of the bowlers failed to control the massive hitting of Hussey and Maxwell.
Pakistani captain Misbah-ul-haq was not satisfied with the fielding effort of the team. Even Kamran Akmal missed two stamps chances which paid a heavy price to the team in form of a huge defeat.
