Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former MNA Hanif Abbasi has said that he would not contest the national assembly elections again and the Pakistan army should forgive him. While talking to the media he said that the Anti Narcotic Forces (ANF) is ill- treating his brother and other fellows of him.
Hanif said that his brother along with other fellow men were kept hungry all the night with their eyes closed with piece of cloth. He would report to the court in relation to the matter. According to him, his younger brother is being allegedly trapped in a case. After arresting, he is being forced to give statements against me, complained Hanif. The PML-N leader said that would never again contest the National Assembly elections, the army should forgive him.
It is pertinent here to mention that Hanif Abbasi has had been held in the Ephedrine case. He is alleged to use the medicines quota more than the limitation. His case was under the hearing sessions in the court.
The ephedrine case members including the former MNA’s brother, Basit Abbasi, the manager of the company Ahmed Bilal including nine people are under the custody of the police men. Hanif Abbasi, unlike others had been granted bail before issuance of his arrest warrants, in relation to the case.
