NADIR is a brand-new biometric technology that the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced with a 99.5% accuracy rate.
NADIR, a biometric Automated Finger Identification System (AFIS) created by NADRA’s software engineers, places Pakistan among the selected few countries, that do have same.
NADRA Chairman Tariq Malik made the statement on Twitter, “The usage of biometric identification in civil applications is expected to change as a result of this technology”.
According to the Chairman’s announcement, the internationally renowned Fingerprint Verification Competition (FVC), an Italian benchmarking exercise, has been used to test and demonstrate that NADIR’s accuracy rate exceeds 99.5%.
