Lahore: Youngest Microsoft certified Arfa Karim Randhawa’s first death is observing today. 16 years old Arfa Karim died on 14 January, 2011 at 9:50 PM in CMH Hospital. On December 22 2011, she faced cardiac attack after epileptic seizure. After 25 days of treatment in CMH, she left us.
She became Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) at age of 9 only. Bill Gates invited her in Microsoft Headquarter. She received couple of big awards in her life. She got Pride of Performance award from President Zardari in 2005. She also received Fatimah Jinnah Gold Medal and Salaam Pakistan Youth Award.
After her death, Pakistani Government renamed a Lahore Technology Park to Arfa Software Technology Park. Name of IT Media City was also changed to Arfa Karim IT Media City. On first anniversary, couples of events are going on across the country and her loved ones arranged some small events to remember Arfa’s work
