Karachi: KARACHI: August 27, 2012: A delegation of Arakani Muslim religious scholars and clerics called on Jamaat e Islami Karachi chief Muhammad Hussain Mehnat and thanked him for the support of JI over the issue of Muslims’ massacre in Burma. The delegation on behalf of Muslims of Burma expressed their gratitude for highlighting the issue and efforts made to provide Brumes Muslims, while talking to JI office bearers at Idara Noor e Haq, here on Monday.
Talking to the delegation, Mehnati said that it was the obligation of the entire Muslim Umma to help and support their brothers particularly in the hard times, which Muslims in Burma were facing. He was of the view that it was the issue of entire Muslim Umma. He said that criminal negligence of global community has proved its dual standers and revealed that international powers could do nothing for Muslims.
On the occasion, the delegation telephoned JI chief Syed Munawar Hassan and conveyed the feelings of Burma’s Muslims. Hassan assured the delegation for complete support of JI for the Muslims of Burma. He termed the bloodshed as condemnable. He regretted that the government of Pakistan, so called contractor of justice the United States and the United Nations Organization didn’t take any solid measure to safeguard the Muslim community in Burma.
