Senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour opposed Urdu as national language. Ilyas Ahmed Bilour is member of Provincial General Body and Central General Body in Awami National Party. During senate session, Government and opposition members of senate demand to use Urdu as national Language with full dignity.
During session Ilyas Bilour argue that only six percent Pakistanis can speak Urdu. He disagree with other senators opinion, he says that Urdu is only a language with use for communication purpose only. He also says that there are four nations living in Pakistan and ever nation has his own language.
On other hand, Abdul Khaliq Pirzada says that Urdu is suffering, please show sympathy on it. Abdul Ghafoor Haidri says that in Pakistan if anyone talks in Urdu, people make fun of him. SM Zafar notifies that according to constitution Urdu must be National Language.
Deputy Chairman Senate Jan Jamali remarks that it will better for President and Prime Minister to use Urdu during foreign visits.
