The British media have confirmed that the Scotland Yard has arrested MQM chief Altaf Hussain in London as there are allegations on him that he is involved in money laundering. The confirmation of Altaf’s arrest show that the allegations being levelled against him have been turned out to be correct this is why the British media used the word ‘Arrest’.
On the contrary, MQM Rabita Committee from London has denied his arrest and after the MQM’s contradiction of the news aired by the British media, Pakistani news media started to air the news as saying that MQM chief Altaf Hussain was held in ‘custody’ by the British police.
It is pertinent to mention here that arrest warrants of two more MQM leaders have been issued in London but it has not been confirmed yet that who are the two other leaders?
Earlier, the Scotland Yard raided on the same house of Altaf Hussain in the north-west of London and recovered more than 2.5 lakh pounds. The affair of money laundering case started one and a half years ago when the Scotland Yard started investigation of Imran Farooq murder case.
