Years long after, a good news is aired by the news channels today that the leader of the fascist part, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Mr Altaf Hussain is arrested in London by the Scotland Yard. But on the other hand, this news feared Karachi and the metropolitan city and the financial hub of Pakistan was paralyzed within few minutes by ‘Namaloom Afraad’.
No sooner did the news air in the media; MQM workers and the ‘Namaloom Afraad’ took out to the streets and forced closure of businesses in the areas where they keep their holds. After the arrest of Altaf Hussain, I went to buy some grocery in my area. I was shocked to see that only two people were riding pillion-ride and threatening the shopkeepers to close their businesses or else they would themselves be responsible for any loss or damage.
A man standing at the site pointed out that the front man who was holding the bike was a police man. It was really a shameful act made by the policeman and I thought if such persons were serving in the police, the moralities of law enforcement agencies would surely decline. This is the reason people dislike the police because neither do the police produce security nor cope with crimes but it would be better to say that our police themselves are involved in 70 per cent of the crimes.
In this regard, the government along with the law enforcement agencies’ heads should seriously think and find the political workers, serving in the agencies and terminate them in national interest.
